WHO WE ARE

Our team includes survey methodologists, statisticians, economists, demographers, sociologists and IT engineers who have designed and implemented scientific surveys of various types worldwide, with a strong emphasis on data quality. They have conducted national large-scale surveys on living conditions, labor, demography, household budget, agriculture, businesses, migration, health, food security and climate resilience, among others.

Our main partners have decades of international experience in survey methodology and survey implementation. They have acquired recognized expertise and an international reputation in sampling, quality assurance and other survey methodology areas, and often lecture at universities and national statistical organizations on these topics.

Parstats serves international agencies, national statistical offices and universities designing and executing survey projects in the five continents.

Ramiro Flores Cruz

BIO

Ramiro Flores Cruz is the Director of Parstats and an international consultant in survey methodology, sampling, and survey quality assurance to international agencies, national statistical offices, and private organizations. With over 20 years of experience, he has designed and conducted national surveys on topics such as living standards, labor, household budgets, health, migration, business, agriculture, climate resilience, and impact evaluations in more than 50 countries across the Americas, Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the South Pacific region. Ramiro is a former research scholar at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina and holds a BA in Sociology, an MA in Demography, and graduate studies in sampling and applied statistics at the University of Michigan. He has taught at various universities and currently teaches a Survey Quality Control course at the University of Michigan’s Survey Research Center. He lives in Buenos Aires with his wife and two sons, speaks Spanish, English and French fluently and has a working knowledge of Portuguese and German.
