The Dairy Value Chains Development Program (DVCDP) project, designed and implemented by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), aimed to improve the livelihoods of rural milk producers, processors, and market entrepreneurs operating primarily in the regions of Jizzakh and Kashkadarya, in Uzbekistan. The program objectives encompassed increasing productivity, competitiveness, income, and market access to small-scale producers and commercial dairy farms in these two regions.
This impact evaluation survey was implemented by Parstats Team, interviewing 2,200 producers face-to-face: 1,000 in Jizzakh and Kashkadarya as a treatment group, and 1,000 in Samarkand and Syrdarya as a control. The survey collected data on a wide range of topics, such as agriculture, livestock, dairy production, income, access to credit, household assets, and food consumption.
